GitLab Foundation Partners with Robin Hood to Launch the AI Poverty Challenge

The GitLab Foundation has teamed up with Robin Hood to launch the AI Poverty Challenge, a new initiative to advance AI-based solutions that drive upward mobility for people living in poverty. The challenge will award up to $4 million to finalists that develop interventions informed by research and lived experience.

“We’re proud to partner alongside Robin Hood in their effort to ensure those who have historically been overlooked and underserved have equitable opportunity. At the GitLab Foundation we’re working to mobilize capital to solve big challenges and catalyze big ideas — and we hope this challenge, and our partnership, helps fund solutions that ensure advanced technologies drive economic mobility for all,” said Ellie Bertani, CEO of the GitLab Foundation.
