The GitLab Foundation aims to generate at least $100 in lifetime earnings for every $1 we invest. We track the impact of each investment—measuring both estimated potential at the outset and actual results over time—to ensure meaningful progress.

We anticipate that our work will impact at least 4,320,287 people increasing their incomes due to our investment; of these, 385,794 people will move from below to above the living wage threshold.
On average, our grantees will help their clients increase their annual incomes by 89% or $9.8K. Over a lifetime, the average earnings for those we impact will increase by $124.2K per person.
