Our Impact
The GitLab Foundation aims to generate at least $100 in lifetime earnings for every $1 we invest. We track the impact of each investment—measuring both estimated potential at the outset and actual results over time—to ensure meaningful progress.
Estimated Impact
We anticipate that our work will impact at least 1,599,471 people increasing their incomes due to our investment; of these, 192,529 people will move from below to above the living wage threshold.*
On average, our grantees will help their clients increase their annual incomes by 95% or $10,765. Over a lifetime, the average earnings for those we impact will increase by $308,618 per person.

Based on results, the GitLab Foundation has delivered $1,599M in increased lifetime earnings to over 224,687 people worldwide.
Our grantees have supported clients in boosting their annual incomes by an average of 99%, or $8,908. Over a lifetime, this translates to an average increase of $83,580 in earnings per person.
